Rogers Park-

Rogers Park is the northern most neighborhood in Chicago. It has a diverse population and houses several parks and eight beaches within it. Rents in Rogers Park are affordable and homes range from two and three flats, courtyards, mid/high-rises, bungalows, Victorians and condominiums. Loyola University is located within the neighborhood and as a result, many students reside in Rogers Park. The community sits ten miles north of the city and is accessible by the Red Line, Lake Shore Drive, and several CTA buses.

Andersonville is now one of Chicago’s most popular north side neighborhoods. Swedish immigrants heavily influenced Andersonville and their markings can still be seen today in several Swedish inspired shops and restaurants. Homes in the area are made up primarily of two and three flats, but larger apartment complexes are also prevalent. In recent years, Andersonville has become a popular neighborhood for gay and lesbian residents looking for something more laid back than the Wrigleyville scene.

During the winter months residents enjoy a plethora of coffee shops, neighborhood pubs, and theatre. Buena Park is accessible through the Red, Brown, and Purple line as well as many CTA buses. With its close proximity to Wrigley Field many sporting enthusiasts reside in Buena Park. Housing ranges from mansions and high rises to single family homes and courtyards.

Uptown was once known as the haven of the infamous Al Capone. He and his crew frequented the Riviera, Green Mill, and Aragon back in the roaring twenties. The main strip is located on Broadway where there are many restaurants and shops. There are several Red Line trains that stop frequently in Uptown as well as plenty of CTA buses. Homes range from high-rise buildings, singly family homes, and two and three flats.

Edgewater is a wonderful beachfront community nestled along Chicago’s beautiful Lakefront. It is seven miles north of downtown and is a diverse neighborhood. There is the Argyle District with Pan-Asian eateries and shops gracing all storefronts. A large population of Loyola University students calls this beachfront community home. For a good burger check out Moody’s Pub or for good old school pizza visit Gino’s North. There are two beaches that many flock to in summer months, Osterman Beach and Foster Beach. There is also the Bryn Mawr Historic District located between Broadway and Sheridan. Edgewater is accessible through the Red and Purple Lines and several CTA buses.

Lincoln Park-

Named for the massive, 1000-acre city park that makes up its eastern border, this is one of Chicago's best-known and most populated neighborhoods. One of the city's best options for nightlife, Lincoln Park contains a seemingly limitless roster of bars, clubs and trendy restaurants. Residences here range from vintage Victorians to mid-range condos to towering high-rises, with a wide range of people and pets occupying those spaces.

Evanston is a suburb north of Rogers Park. Evanston is home to the academic juggernaut that is Northwestern University. And with a Big Ten college comes an attendant array of youth-oriented businesses. The downtown area teems with so many restaurants, boutiques, bars, movie theaters and niche shops that many residents seldom bother heading into the city proper (although Metra and CTA Purple and Yellow Line trains makes it easy to do so). Beyond the college area, Evanston leans toward family-friendly residential neighborhoods with far more cultural and economic diversity than “Breakfast Club” fans might expect.
